Vehicles we accept in West Virginia

Cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, boats, RVs — running or not, clean title or complicated.

At Appalachian Autos, we’re proud to accept nearly any vehicle, whether it’s running or not. Our mission is to turn your generous donation into funding for important resources that benefit the local community. From cars that have seen better days to pickup trucks and even motorcycles, your contribution helps connect your neighbors with essential programs like SNAP and Medicaid. We take vehicles of various conditions and types, making it easy for you to donate and support our mission in West Virginia.

Categories we accept

Cars & Sedans
1995-present

Donated cars are typically resold at auction or through local dealerships. If they’re not in drivable condition, they might be stripped for parts or recycled, ensuring that every part serves a purpose.

In West Virginia, cars are essential for getting to work and school, especially in areas where public transit is limited.

Pickup Trucks
1995-present

Pickup trucks often end up at auction, fetching good prices due to their practicality. Vehicles that aren't running may be repaired or used for parts.

In our rural communities, pickups are the backbone of farm life, making them a vital part of West Virginia's economy.

SUVs & Crossovers
1995-present

SUVs and crossovers are popular at auction for their versatility. Non-running models may be sold for parts or recycled, contributing to sustainability.

These vehicles are perfect for navigating the winding mountain roads of our state, making them a favored choice for families.

Motorcycles
1995-present

Motorcycles are frequently sold at auction or through specialized dealerships. Non-working bikes may also be dismantled for parts.

With the scenic highways in West Virginia, donations of motorcycles allow many to experience the thrill of the open road.

RVs & Campers
1995-present

RVs and campers can either be sold at auction or processed for parts. Often, they are desirable for those looking to explore our beautiful landscapes.

Our gorgeous parks and outdoor spaces attract camping enthusiasts, making RVs a common sight around West Virginia.

Boats
1995-present

Boats can be auctioned off or dismantled for parts and materials, with many people seeking them for recreational use.

With our beautiful rivers and lakes, boats are a great way for families in West Virginia to enjoy the outdoors.

Commercial Vehicles
1995-present

Commercial vehicles are often sold to businesses or at auction, while non-functional units may be refurbished or dismantled.

From delivery vehicles to service trucks, these donations play a big part in supporting local businesses across our state.

Non-running Vehicles
All years

Even if a vehicle isn't running, it can still be valuable. We may recycle it or use parts to help get other vehicles back on the road.

Many old vehicles sit idle in rural West Virginia. Your donation can help revive local transportation options.

Condition guide

When donating to Appalachian Autos, we accept vehicles in various conditions. Running vehicles can be sold, while non-running vehicles are also valuable. We evaluate these on a case-by-case basis, ensuring we can still assist our community even if the vehicle isn't in prime condition. If a car has a salvage title, it may still qualify as long as it meets our requirements.

We understand that some vehicles may be beyond repair and carry salvage titles. However, don’t worry; as long as they fit our criteria, we can still accept them. Our goal is to make the donation process as straightforward as possible, so if you’re unsure about your vehicle’s status, reach out to us!
